We love inspiring and positive stories, just like the next person, so we decided to share this (belated) news anyway! 🙂
If you watch the awesome Interior Design Masters shows on BBC (and Netflix!), you’ll most likely be familiar with the dashing Carpenter that appears intermittedly in each episode. Unassuming and incredibly talented, he’s a literal superhero with tape measure in hand, attempting to make dodgy furniture plans into real life works of art.
And he usually succeeds!
He’s Wayne Perrey, aka The TV Carpenter and when you become aware of this woodworking genius, you start seeing him all over the place, including Instagram AND other TV shows!

Wayne contacted me via Instagram with a very interesting commission! He was required to present on a BBC TV show called Morning Live and needed some of my infamous Photoshop rendered visuals to help with his segment about gallery walls. Awesome!
Wayne was an absolute pleasure to work with. He was very clear in terms of the brief and provided examples of the types of visuals he preferred and the specific gallery wall layouts he needed but basically gave me full reign in terms of how I styled these up.
This was VERY exciting! I had never created renders for a TV Show before and to be honest, I really had no idea how they were going to be presented on screen. I tried not to think about it too much, if I’m honest. Because the more I thought about my renders being displayed on national TV, the more nervous I felt. So I decided to focus on my ‘craft’ but ensured the final images were a decent size to cover all eventualities (i.e. in case they were displayed on TV in full, thereby avoiding quality issues).
